Church History
Pastor G.C. Smith and his lovely wife Hazel started the Gospel Tabernacle Church in the early sixties
in Hudson Fla. Pastor Smith graduated from Gods Bible college in Cincinnati Ohio and he and
his wife Hazel moved to Fla. Rev. Delbert Hill was the assoc. Pastor there for nine years.
After much Prayer God lead him and his wife Lucille to move back to North Carolina and start a Church.
Rev. Hill and Lucille were both born and raised in North Carolina and have Family here.
On October 31, 1993 we held our first service at the Trinity Grange Hall with only five members.
Later we moved our services to Sidney and Carolyn Thompson basement.
In February 1994 our membership had grown so we rented a building to have our services.
In July 1999 we were able to purchase the building and land that we now own.
Our members are from all different denominations and back grounds.
God is richly blessing us. With his leading we continue to see souls saved and discipled.
In fourteen years of ministry God has helped and blessed many people through this Church
and is still blessing today.
Praise his name we give him all the Praise and Glory for his great work he has done through this ministry.
